Abode designs a stand for SA Decor and Design at Decorex 2014

The crew from SA Decor and Design approached me to design their stand for DecorexSA 2014, using the cover of their latest issue as inspiration.  At first I was a little daunted, having previously only done a few smaller stands at Design Indaba, but once the creativity started flowing… well the rest is history. I have to say I was pleased as punch with the results.

The wallpaper/fabric was printed by Smart Art, who gave me by far the most competitive quote, using the WDC yellow in the chevron.  All the furnishings and decor were designed courtesy of Abode and are available in store or by special request.

As inspiration I wanted to take from the current trend for geometric patterning, but I also like to have a lightness to my products.  I'm not into heavy furniture as you can see.
